Standards Check (SC) Preparation

Already an ADI? Is Your Standards Check Due?

The ADI Standards Check assesses your ability to teach pupils to drive and is a critical part of maintaining your approved driving instructor badge.

If your Standards Check is coming up and you are feeling apprehensive, our Grade A, DVSA ORDIT registered instructor is here to help prepare you for your test.

Understanding Your Standards Check Grade:

  • Grade A: The highest level of instruction, requiring a minimum of 43 out of 51 marks
  • Grade B: The minimum pass mark required to maintain your ADI badge, is achieved with a score between 31 and 42 marks
  • Grade F: A failed test, scoring between 0 and 30 marks. Please note you are only permitted three attempts at your Standards Check - after which your ADI badge will be revoked

Driving instructors do fail their Standards Check - don't let that be you. Get in touch today to arrange your training, and give yourself the best possible chance of achieving the highest grade.
