Train to become a driving instructor with our A-Grade, DVSA ORDIT registered instructor training programme. You could potentially earn between £1,000 and £1,300 per week, giving you the financial freedom and flexibility that comes with being your own boss.

This is not necessarily the case when training to become a driving instructor, as your training can be flexible around your current working life and other commitments. You can progress at a pace that works for you, without having to give up your current job until you are ready.

However, following the completion of your training and tests, we would love to discuss the opportunity to join the Weekend Wheels franchise network. Our instructor training is delivered by our founder and director, who brings over 13 years of experience as a DVSA-approved driving instructor, trainer, and IAM RoadSmart official examiner, so you will be learning from one of the best in the industry.


Do You Meet the Requirements?

Before beginning your training, you will need to meet the following eligibility criteria set by the DVSA:

  • You must be at least 21 years old
  • You must have held a full UK or EU driving licence for a minimum of 3 years
  • You must have no more than 5 penalty points on your licence
  • You must not have been disqualified from driving in the last 4 years
  • You must have good enough eyesight to read a number plate at 27.5 metres
  • You must pass an enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check through the DVSA
  • You must have a genuine passion for working with people and helping them to develop their skills
