Our Values
Road Safety Is at the Heart of Everything We Do. Embedded in our principles is a clear desire to improve road safety across the UK.
We encourage our instructors to continue with their own professional development, including working towards or maintaining Advanced Driver status. This creates a consistent and recognisable standard of driving across our network, and helps us to promote road safety that assists in reducing road traffic accidents.
We want every pupil who learns with Weekend Wheels to feel safe, capable, and confident on the road, not just to pass their test, but for life.

George founded Weekend Wheels in 2013 with a vision to create a driving school built on the highest standards of professional driver training.
With over 14 years of experience as a DVSA-approved driving instructor and ORDIT registered trainer, George is still actively teaching pupils in both manual and automatic vehicles whilst also training the next generation of driving instructors.
As the driving force behind the Weekend Wheels franchise network, George brings a wealth of knowledge and passion for road safety to everything he does. George also brings years of experience in advanced driving, and holds the role of an IAM RoadSmart official examiner.

Our History
An Award-Winning Driving School, Established in 2013
Weekend Wheels Driving School has a clear mission: to deliver the highest standard of driver training in a friendly, professional, and supportive environment. We started out offering manual driving lessons and quickly grew to include automatic driving lessons, refresher courses, and advanced driver training, becoming one of the most well-established and trusted driving schools in Northampton.
Our company has gone from strength to strength, and we are proud to have been recognised for our commitment to quality and excellence. In 2019 we received a national business award for 'Superior Achievement and Excellence' within the driving school industry. More recently, we were named in the prestigious Intelligent Instructor Top 100 for two consecutive years in both 2023 and 2024, a testament to the dedication of our entire team.
We are also delighted to be rated 5 stars on both Google and Yell.com by our pupils and their families.
Today, Weekend Wheels offers manual and automatic driving lessons, refresher courses, intensive driving courses, and advanced driver training, serving learners across Northampton. We are also proud to offer driving instructor training and franchise opportunities.
